Welcome to Carisbrooke College

MatthewParrBurmanWelcome to our Learning Community here on the Isle of Wight. The Isle of Wight Education Federation comprises of Carisbrooke College, Medina College and The Island VI Form. We are three distinct learning communities with close links that benefit all of our students. By combining our skills, knowledge and expertise we ensure students get the very best deal possible. Our aim is simple: We want to be the best. The best for students, the best for parents, the best for staff who work here and the best for the Island.

We are increasingly working ever closer so that we learn from each other on a daily basis. We welcome visitors and if you think you want to be part of our unique experience then please just get in contact – you will receive a warm welcome.

Matthew Parr-Burman
Executive Headteacher

Welcome to Carisbrooke College. We are a smaller than average school that is undergoing rapid change. During April this year, we moved in to a brand new purpose built school here on our well established site. It has state of the art IT and Technology facilities and is finally the fit for purpose school building that we have been looking forward to having. The whole school community is excited about this change. We will retain our family, community feeling though.

I am new to the Island but not new to headship being an experienced Headteacher in two other schools over 11 years of headship experience. Working with the other schools in our Federation our aim is simple – to be the best. Young people get one chance at growing up and we need to make this experience an amazing one for them. As a parent myself [three children who have long since flown our nest!] I really understand what makes a great experience and young people will get that here.

Please come and look around – you will always receive a warm welcome.
