Enquiries about Results and Resits

We are currently waiting for the JCQ and Ofqual guidance on Enquiries about Results and Resits for this year.

The government have proposed that an autumn series is provided so that any student who does not feel their calculated grade reflects their ability is given the opportunity to sit an exam at the earliest reasonable opportunity. To ensure this is fair for all students, they have proposed that exam boards offer autumn exams for all of the GCSE, AS and A level qualifications they had intended to offer in the summer. They have also proposed that the format of these exams should be the same as those normally offered in the summer.

If students choose to resit, they will be able to use the higher of the two grades for future progression.
It is not known what the fees for resits may be or who will be responsible for paying them.
A consultation has taken place and the final guidance has yet to be published.
