End of Season Cricket Report

As the term draws to a close, Carisbrooke College is proud to reflect on another exciting and successful cricket season. With growing participation, outstanding team achievements, and notable individual performances, cricket continues to thrive at our school.
U15 Girls – Unbeaten Champions
A massive congratulations to our U15 girls team, who finished the season unbeaten. Their skill, teamwork, and determination were on full display in every match. From accurate bowling to confident batting, the girls set the standard across the island and deserve huge credit for a remarkable season. They have become an inspiration for younger players coming through the ranks.
U13 Girls – Taking to the Field
This year saw the continued development of our U13 girls team, who embraced every opportunity to take part in competitive fixtures. For many, it was their first season of cricket, and they approached each match with enthusiasm and a real willingness to learn. Their improvement throughout the season bodes well for the future of girls’ cricket at Carisbrooke.
U13 Boys – Strong Group Runners-Up
Our U13 boys team performed consistently throughout the season and secured 2nd place in their group, narrowly missing out on the top spot. The team displayed excellent sportsmanship and showed promising potential in both batting and bowling. With several players moving up next year, the future looks bright for this talented squad.
Beach Cricket Success
Beach cricket provided a fun and competitive twist to the summer’s fixtures:
Girls’ Beach Cricket: Our girls team finished a fantastic second overall, combining tactical play with great energy and spirit.
Boys’ Beach Cricket: The boys battled through some tough games and ended the season with a respectable fourth place finish.
Club Cricket Highlights
We are always proud to celebrate the achievements of Carisbrooke students representing local clubs:
- Logan made headlines with a standout performance for Newport CC, scoring an impressive 48 runs in an adult fixture - a fantastic achievement at his age.
- Liam celebrated a major personal milestone, scoring his first century (100 runs) for Northwood CC - a landmark that reflects his hard work and growing talent.
Thank You!
A huge thank you to all the staff, parents, and local clubs who supported our players throughout the season. Your encouragement and commitment make these opportunities possible.
We look forward to building on this success next year as we continue to grow cricket at Carisbrooke College both in participation and performance.
