Key Stage 4 Cross Country Championships

After an initial delay caused by waterlogged conditions, the eagerly awaited Key Stage 4 Isle of Wight Cross Country Championships finally took place on Thursday, 11 December. Despite the challenging ground conditions, students from Carisbrooke College delivered standout performances, demonstrating both resilience and athletic excellence.

The Year 9 boys' category saw a dominant performance by Carisbrooke athletes. The highlight of the day was William, who delivered a commanding run to be crowned the Year 9 Champion. His victory has earned him a prestigious spot at the Hampshire event early in the New Year.

In addition to the gold medal finish, the team showed incredible depth with several notable performances:

Bobby: 4th Place
Jude: 9th Place
Will & Oliver: Delivered respectable runs to round out a strong team showing.

Carisbrooke entered two athletes into the Year 9 girls' race, both of whom performed brilliantly against a competitive field. Their high finishes reflect the hard work and dedication shown in training leading up to the event.

Amelia: 7th Place
Darcey: 11th Place

Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to Medina for hosting a great event.
