U13 Girls Football Match Report

On Tuesday, our U13 Girls Football team faced their toughest rivals, The Bay, in a spirited away fixture. From the opening whistle, it was clear this would be a high intensity match, with our opponents proving once again why they are such a formidable side.
Despite conceding a few early goals, our girls showed incredible character. It took a moment to shake off the initial frustration, but Carisbrooke soon found their rhythm, holding their ground and applying consistent pressure in both boxes. Whether they were throwing themselves into defensive blocks or pushing forward on the attack, their work rate never faltered.
The girls fought tirelessly throughout both halves, creating several opportunities and battling to find the back of the net. While the final score didn’t go our way this time, the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. Our young squad, made up of mostly Year 7s, gave their absolute everything against an experienced team.
We are incredibly proud of their resilience and the school spirit they showed until the very last second. The girls have two more games next week against Christ the King College and Cowes Enterprise College.
