Active Travel Ambassadors Presentation

Congratulations to our Active Travel Ambassadors on the work they have completed over the past few weeks. Jacob, Lulu, Matthew, Jack and Stevie were tasked with designing a campaign to encourage more active travel to school - to improve the health and wellbeing of our school community and help reduce congestion at the school gates.
On Thursday 30 April, they presented their campaign on the stage of Medina Theatre to a panel of prestigious judges, including the Isle of Wight High Sheriff, the Managing Director of Southern Vectis and the Director of Modeshift. The event was conducted in a 'Dragon's Den' style where we were competing against other schools for funding.
Despite the pressure, our ambassadors delivered their presentation with confidence and professionalism, clearly explaining their ideas and responding thoughtfully to challenging questions from the judges.
Although they were narrowly beaten by Medina College, the team's hard work was recognised with an impressive £450 which they can now use to bring their campaign to life. Watch this space for further updates on their exciting project!
