Well done to all of our Year 7 and 8 students who represented the school at the Island Schools Athletics Championships on Wednesday last week. It was fantastic to see so many students competing with determination, enthusiasm and excellent sportsmanship throughout the afternoon. There were some incredible performances on the track in particular, with many of our students qualifying for finals against strong competition. Special congratulations go to Eva, Jenson, Jimmy, Maisie, Oakley, Seren and Keenan, who all achieved podium finishes with superb performances. For some of our competitors, this was their very first attempt at an athletics event after only recently starting athletics in PE lessons, making their achievements even more impressive. Carisbrooke placed 5th overall on the day. A huge well done to everyone who took part and represented the school so positively – you should all be very proud of your efforts.
