Relational Mastery in Core Foundations
Because communication and reasoning form the bridge for all human connection, literacy and numeracy are our absolute priority across all aspects of the curriculum:

• English: All Key Stage 4 students study both English Language and English Literature. They are trained to become articulate speakers, empathetic readers, and critical analytical writers who can connect deeply with the human experience across time. Key Stage 3 students follow the ARK English mastery curriculum.
• Mathematics: Delivered through a mastery approach that builds financial literacy, collaborative problem-solving, and the quantitative confidence needed for active citizenship and future employment.

Subject content is driven by ensuring that national curriculum and exam specification knowledge and skills are sequentially linked—Every lesson is a stone. The Five Curriculum Towers

• Tower 1: Disciplinary Literacy & Vocabulary: Every subject explicitly teaches the language, vocabulary, and communication skills unique to its discipline so that students can think, speak, read, and write with confidence and precision.
• Tower 2: Memory, Retrieval & Mastery: Key knowledge and concepts are revisited regularly so that students can recall information fluently, make meaningful connections across topics, and apply their learning confidently in new contexts.
• Tower 3: Inclusion: Through high-quality teaching, adaptive scaffolding, and personalised support, we ensure our ambitious curriculum stretches the most able and removes barriers for those with SEND or facing disadvantage.
• Tower 4: Enrichment & Personal Development: Learning is extended beyond lessons through cultural, creative, sporting, and leadership opportunities that broaden horizons and develop character.
