Subject Intent: Our Drama curriculum builds empathy, negotiation, and public confidence by stepping into the shoes of others through collaborative performance. At Key Stage 3, Drama helps students develop creativity, confidence, collaboration and an understanding of the world through performance. Students learn to communicate with confidence, think creatively, collaborate effectively, and understand the experiences of others. At Key Stage 4, students engage with a range of theatrical styles, practitioners, and live performances to broaden their cultural understanding and gain insight into the creative industries and future career pathways.

Assessment Framework: AQA GCSE Drama combines practical and written assessment components. Students are assessed on their knowledge and understanding of drama and theatre, their ability to create, perform and evaluate dramatic work, and their skills in collaboration, communication, interpretation, and critical analysis.
