Subject Intent: Our Music curriculum harnesses the universal language of ensemble performance to build shared harmony, creative resilience, and self-confidence. At Key Stage 3, students experience the joy of music-making, developing musical confidence and creativity and understanding music’s significance within local, national and global cultures. At Key Stage 4, students explore increasingly complex musical styles, traditions and technologies (including Western Classical, popular, world, film, and contemporary genres), with practical ensemble performance and creative collaboration sitting at the heart of learning.

Assessment Framework: Pearson GCSE Music combines practical performances, creative compositions, and a written appraising examination evaluating diverse musical style contexts.
