Subject Intent: Our Science curriculum inspires curiosity about our physical world, encouraging empirical investigation, group inquiry, and evidence-based thinking. At Key Stage 3, Science develops scientifically literate young people through a broad and inclusive spiral curriculum where students solve problems, evaluate empirical evidence, and apply critical scientific models. At Key Stage 4, they follow the AQA GCSE Combined Science or Separate Sciences specifications, securing their knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to apply concepts to both familiar and unfamiliar contexts.

Assessment Framework: AQA GCSE Combined Science is assessed through six written examinations (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). Separate Sciences lead to three separate GCSE qualifications (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) via six exam papers.
