Miss Saigon at the Mayflower Theatre

On Wednesday, 51 students from Years 10 and 11 visited the Mayflower Theatre to see the musical Miss Saigon, accompanied by Mrs Peckham, Mrs Randall and Miss Divers. The trip provided a valuable opportunity to experience live professional theatre and strongly supported learning across several subjects, including GCSE Music (Area of Study 3: Music for Stage and Screen) and GCSE Drama (Section C: Live Theatre). The themes and historical context of the production also offered relevant insights for GCSE History, prompting thoughtful discussion and reflection. Student behaviour throughout the visit was excellent, and the performance sparked engaging conversations about music, staging, storytelling and historical perspectives both during and after the trip.
