Future Lifesavers: Year 7 Learn CPR and Defibrillator Skills
Our Year 7 students took part in an incredibly important and inspiring session, learning lifesaving CPR skills from volunteers representing the British Heart Foundation, alongside the founder of IOW Defibrillators.
Throughout the training, students were shown how to recognise when someone is in cardiac arrest, how to perform CPR, and how to use a defibrillator safely and confidently. These are skills that can make a real difference in an emergency and could one day help save a life.
We were extremely proud of the way our Year 7 students approached the session. They worked hard, listened carefully, and showed great respect to the volunteers who generously gave their time to teach them. The students took the training seriously and demonstrated a mature and responsible attitude throughout.
It was fantastic to see so many students fully engaged, asking thoughtful questions and practising the techniques with determination and focus. Their enthusiasm and commitment made the sessions a great success.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the volunteers from the British Heart Foundation and the founder of IOW Defibrillators for delivering such an informative and valuable workshop. Their dedication to teaching young people these vital skills is truly appreciated.
Well done to all of our Year 7 students — we are incredibly proud of the effort, maturity, and respect you showed during this important training.
