Act of Remembrance 2024

On Monday 11 November, Carisbrooke College took part in an annual Remembrance Service.

As always, our students took the lead and made the school extremely proud. They were silent from the moment they left the school building to gather outside on the MUGA. Luckily, it was the most beautiful November day with the sun shining.

Gabe and Mimi carried the wreaths before presenting them to Ms Begley and Ms Sheppard. Sol then took over by reciting the exhortation followed by Kohima Epitaph.  During the service, Mary Teague (long term supporter of the Carsbrooke College Remembrance Service), supported by her son, played the Last Post and the Reveille, just as she has done so for the past three years and for this we are extremely grateful.

During the service, our students were simply amazing by not just completing the two minutes silence with complete respect, but by their actions throughout the whole service.

We had the pleasure of welcoming a number of external visitors to the school on this day and what they witnessed led to the following feedback:

"Your students are simply amazing and that is something I have never seen done before in a school setting.  The level of respect for the service and everyone associated was incredible".

Well done students and staff.  You're simply amazing.
