We have come to the end of a successful academic year after another busy week!
Our Year 10 students enjoyed a fantastic trip to Robin Hill Country Park. The weather was kind, the atmosphere was brilliant, and the students represented the school with enthusiasm and maturity throughout the day. It was a pleasure to see them enjoying themselves, making memories, and engaging so positively with all the activities.
On Wednesday, we held our Summer Creative Concert at the stunning Carisbrooke Castle and what an evening it was! It was a huge success, showcasing a wide range of creative talents from across the school. Alongside an impressive selection of musical performances and a vibrant display of student artwork, the evening also featured powerful and engaging drama performances. Our drama students brought the historic setting of the castle to life with their energy, skill, and storytelling.
The event was made even more special by the excellent turnout from parents and carers, whose support is always greatly appreciated. Well done to everyone involved in making the evening so memorable and a massive thank you to the staff who organised the evening. It was our first event at at the castle in 15 years and we hope to host more in the future.
This week also saw our end of year Celebration Assemblies, where we recognised the hard work, dedication, and achievements of so many students. A wide variety of certificates were awarded, reflecting academic excellence, personal growth, and outstanding contributions to school life. Congratulations to all our award recipients — you should be incredibly proud.
To round off the term, students took part in tutor group activities and fun events after Period 1 today. It was a joyful and relaxed way to end the term, filled with laughter, games, and team spirit.
Looking ahead, we return to school on Wednesday 3 September, with staggered start times in place. Please refer to the letter sent out earlier this week for specific details regarding arrival times for each year group. As always, students are expected to return in full school uniform, ready to learn, and with a positive attitude for the year ahead.
Thank you to all our students, staff, and families for your continued support throughout the year. We wish you all a safe, restful and enjoyable summer break.
See you in September!
